Creating Theatre Rooted in Community.

We believe theatre should be rooted in the community and reflect those who participate in it.

Our 'Making Musical Theatre' Workshops create new musical theatre in community settings. We initially designed them for The Gaiety Lockdown Season where we were programmed alongside some of Scotland's best writers including Douglas Maxwell, Gary McNair and Meghan Tyler. After the success of the Lockdown Season we have since worked with Alzheimer Scotland, The Champions Board and we created a special song for The Gaiety Youth Theatre's online play 'Not Fit For Purpose'.

The Making Musical Theatre workshops explore how to write a musical; finding the story, creating a structure, they end in a collaboration to create a Musical Theatre song. You don’t need to have any experience or musical ability, you just need a pen, paper and your imagination.

Watch the songs in The Gaiety Lockdown season on

The Lockdown Channel.
